The Phoenix Rising Horse Farm at 260 Pound Hill Rd. was the scene of a dramatic horse rescue around 11:30am. The horse was stuck in the mud up to it’s neck for almost an hour after getting spooked and breaking through a fence and ran into an area where there was thick, deep mud. Firefighters and farm workers used hose, straps and an excavator to get the horse that was scared, cold and shivering, out. The horse was immediately brought inside and covered with blankets. A vet arrived at the scene and was treating the horse.
